Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Hi everyone-- I am Chris Paul's booking agent. Paul and I are always looking for suggestions on venues to play and house concert opportunities. Paul is generally available to play so don't hesitate to e-mail me with ideas. Thanks. shilohproductions@hotmail.com |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
The Evening Muse in Charlotte, NC! The website with details is below. It is a great small venue that has lots of great music. It's open during the week and on weekends and it's non-smoking(yea!). On weekends they have two shows nightly, one at 8 and one at 10:30. Seems like they'd have lots of spots to fill .... Oh and it's where Susan Cowsill plays when she comes to Charlotte. Check it out. www.eveningmuse.com |

I am thrilled to see an Atlanta date in may, Poppy you know I will be there and I'll drum up a crowd as well. I hope you know you have so much support and love coming your way as you enter this new phase. It's going to be a great time in your life and great for us fans that we can hear you concentrate on YOUR music.... See you in Atlanta, Scott |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Greetings Paul, We'd love to have you here in Madison/Milwaukee, or should I just say Wisconsin. (Weather dependent of course.) Unfortunately with a toddler it isn't quite so easy to just up and leave anymore for a show, but will always try to make an effort if given enough time to plan. We wish you all the best in your new endeavor, may it bring loads of success and happiness. Julie |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Come back to NYC This is why... It all started about 13 or 14 years ago at a little performance space called Skep on Broome Street. Jet Black and Jealous was just out and you performed with Roger Manning. I may even have a flyer from the show (I think I tape recorded it too) I've been a huge fan since then and I only ever got to see you solo once more... |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Thanks for the requests to play different places. I want to play them all. Special thanks for the person from New York who wrote in with a Jet Black and Jealous and Roger Manning memory. A lovely time in my life as a songwirter, back when the world was young. peace, Poppy |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
A place I really enjoy... Rhythm & Brews in Chattanooga. Not so large of a place that you feel lost in the crowd. Just the right size to feel a though you are a part of the music. I traveled from Atlanta there each time CM played it and would again to see Paul...No matter what day he played. |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
While Paul is in Oshkosh in August, there's a great club in Appleton called Mill Creek Blues that would be a perfect place for Paul to play. It's about 20 minutes north of Oshkosh. www.millcreekbar.com - booking through Jason Bruehl at booking@millcreekbar.com. Looking forward to catching Paul in WI! Andy |

Memphis! I would offer my house but it is small and not quit ready for a party yet but there is a great coffeehouse in my neighborhood that books this type of acts. It is called Otherlands and the guy that does the booking is named James. Its a great little venue. |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
I know he's been there and done that as an LT, but I'd love to see Paul play at The Basement in Nashville or The End (also in Nashville). The End is very small and and cozy. It would be a nice place for a show. I cannot wait for the show at 3rd and Lindsley next week. (Speaking of small and cozy venues!) You need to head to Nashville more often. They keep trying to take the music out of music city. |

I was gonna say Lafayette or Baton Rouge, but I see you're going to be in New Orleans, and that's close enough, hehe. Maybe Texas... that's where I go when I need to forget for a few days that I'm a 22 year old who will probably never graduate from college........... *faroff eyes* |

We'd love for you to come back to the Orlando-Tampa area. The last time we saw you was with the Mouth in N.O.L.A one month before Katrina and the next night in the crowd at the Susan Cowsill show(with Rob Savoy)at Carrollton Station on Fleetwood Mac Rumours night. |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Chris: The fact that Poppy is playing four house concerts in the DC area in 3 days tells me he is ready to take on a small club in the DC area. Perhaps something like Jammin Java or IOTA, where Susan Cowsill has played. I'd hate to cutback on the house shows, but if it's a better financial package for Paul to play clubs, I'm all for it. DC has always supported the Mouth in a big way and a lot of that support was because of Paul. Looking forward to seeing Paul in May and in a bigger venue in the future. |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Chris, I don't know what I was thinking suggesting Durty Nellies and Cubbie Bear in Lincolnshire, IL. On second thought, Mickey Finns in Libertyville or The Shack in Mundelein, IL would be much more intimate and better suited for a Paul show. In Chicago, Wise Fools Pub is a great venue as well (Lonesome Travelers have played there before). Sorry for the bad suggestions. P.S. The Rock Boat would be another great place for Poppy to play. Poppy, Thanks for your music and hope the road is treating you well. Jeff C. |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Would love to see Paul in the Rochester area. They actually have a Jazz fest every year in June...too late to book that (cowboy mouth is playing this year though, we will miss you Paul!) I have 2 little ones and have a hard time getting out to the clubs so any festivals in upstate NY would be lovely. There is also a Blues Fest in Norwich, NY that is quite nice. That is in August I believe and they have had some great talent over the years, they might still be booking....why not there! http://www.chenangobluesfest.org/ Send Paul to Upstate NY PLEASE!!! |

I want to see Paul in the DC area. I saw he is playing in Baltimore in July. DC in the summer is filled with outdoor venues, such as Wolftrap (HC is playing there in a couple of weeks), Herndon Live every Friday night. |

Yes yes, a show at Scott's place. Wait .... I think I had a lot of fun .... I'm not sure my liver could take that again. Scott, Ignore Joy and her Silly I drank to much that one time, comments. She is capable of far more drinking than she admits to. We don't think its a problem but she has spoken to a doctor about it. ;-) See now you have to throw a party and invite us so Joy can tell you the doctor and drinking story. Just let us know so we can start planning the trip to ATL. Phil |

Please come back to Columbia,SC. I missed the last visit, because I didn't realize the venue has been re-scheduled due to the semi-closure of Jammin' Java. There are several places Paul could play, such as: The Rusty Anchor (Summer only-I think), Doc's Gumbo Grille, The Whig, The Flying Saucer, Cafe Strudel, Delaney's, Hunter Gatherer just to name several. Chris, I'm not sure where Paul's next northeast swing will take him, but if you're near Bethlehem, PA you might want to check out a place called Godfrey Daniels www.godfreydaniels.org It's a nice little venue that's very friendly to singer-songwriters. They usually draw a good crowd of locals and college students from Lehigh U. mwm |

Re: Where do you want to see Paul Play?
Playing at the Bayou in Mt Vernon was great, but if you are looking for places in suburban NY again, check out the Watercolor Cafe in Larchmont NY (about 4-5 miles NE of Mt Vernon) I have seen some solid acts there ranging from John Hammond to Marshall Crenshaw and Tom Rush as well as some good jazz groups. The restaurant holds about 100-200 people, and has music several nights a week as well as the weekend. Website URL is: http://www.watercolorcafe.net/ |
