Charlotte help
I am going to see Paul on Saturday in Charlotte. I live in Asheville and I have never been to the downtown area of Charlotte. I know in my medium sized town parking is a nightmare to say the least. I feel sorry anyone visiting Asheville trying to park even close to where you want to be. Has anyone been to The Evening Muse before or does anyone have tips for Saturday parking and getting around downtown Charlotte? Thanks in advance! |

Re: Charlotte help
I was trying to figure out if we should start our own 'Roll call for CLT'. Looks like this is a good place for it. The Muse actually has OK parking you just have to walk 1 block to get to it. We might beable to make that even easier though by having a little meet up before the show. I know a few people that are coming to town for the show who wants to grab a bite to eat or a drink before the show? |

Re: Charlotte help
The Muse isn't in the middle of Uptown. It's about 2ish miles from there. There is a large parking lot at the YMCA that is very close to the Muse. I wouldn't recommend leaving your car their overnight but that's usually where I park. You can also park in the lot behind The Neighborhood Theater but you have to pay. |

Oh and just so we are all in agreement here ... our job is to be the most over the top, enthusiastic, border-line obnoxiously insane fans they have ever seen at the Muse ... so that they will bring him back for a better time slot next time. :) I know yall, I think we can do this, possibly without even trying. |

Re: Charlotte help
While we're at it...has anyone been to the venue in Wilmington? I shall be fortunate enough to do three shows in a week: Charlotte, Raleigh and Wilmington! Whoohoo! Paul - feel free to consider that a challenge to shake up the set list! ;-) I hear there is a decent Cajun restaurant near the Muse...is this true, Joy? There are lots of restaurants near the Raleigh venue, if anyone needs that advice. And I'll be new to the Soapbox area...anyone else doing all three? |

I honestly can't tell you last time I stayed out so late. I am sorry that I can't make the raliegh show. That is just too far to drive. Thank you Paul for making a trip up to the NC! |

Re: Charlotte help
For Stephanie - The place you are thinking of is Boudreaux's and it's pretty darn good. Our fav place in that area is Cabo Fish Taco. The only issue is that both places are pretty small. That's cool when you are looking for nice out of the way stuff but not so cool if you have a large group or are in a hurry. |

Re: Charlotte help
Can we do reservations at either? We could hang at "our" bar next door to B's, (that's where that place is, right?) Raleigh - who's coming? I'll be there, the Branston's will be there. Hopefully my friend Erica will be there (fresh off of her honeymoon). |

As the complete fanatic that I am, I have to point out that you could take the bus to NODA from SouthEnd. :) |

Re: Charlotte help
Leave him alone Joy. His part of town even has access to the Free gold rush shuttle uptown but some of us are willing to cab for point to point service! We are in Plaza Midwood and Joy is a bit of a public transit nut. (you should try traveling with her!) |
