a door closes and a window opens
The folks at d.b.a. found out I was going to around New Orleans and have given me a couple of shows, so while I won't be out playing for some of my favorite listeners in the country, I will be playing in one of my favorite rooms anywhere. The people who work for and run d.b.a. have been cool to me since the day I got back from Belize and started looking for a place where I could play and work out new stuff. I'll be playing this Saturday from seven to ten. It's usually John Boutte's set but he is out of town for a wedding. I'm also playing next Thursday, my usual slot from seven to ten. Joining me on guitar will be Alex McMurray who is a great song writer as well as string/mindbendingly good guitar player. I also just heard from the folks at Voodoo Fest and it looks like Paul Sanchez and the Rolling Road Show will be rolling into the Voodoo Fest, {thanks to Stephen Rehag}. Expect a very scary set. Congrats! Looks like I will have to start working on a Voodoo Fest Trip now. How am I supposed to get any work done? What with me running off to NoLa every few months. I pitty the liver. Oh and for anybody that can make it we were pretty much wowed by Alex at Paul's show last week. |
