UWR in Sevilla World Games 2006

Hello everybody,
The City Council of Sevilla with the collaboration of
FEDAS (Spanish Federation of Underwater Activities),
they’ll make the next summer the World Games 2006 in
this city.

FEDAS want to make an UWR Championship to promote
this sport here in Spain, but they has a condition at least 6 teams to play in this World Games.

Últimas noticias de los Juegos Mundiales Sevilla 2006
La organización de “Sevilla 2006 Juegos Mundiales”
correrá a cargo de el Ayuntamiento y las Federaciones
de los Deportes No Olímpicos.
En nuestro caso esta Federación es FEDAS, en España
el Rugby Sub es un deporte desconocido, entonces
FEDAS (A través de la regional FECLAS, Federación de
Castilla y León), nos ha dicho lo siguiente:
“Se necesitan por lo menos 6 equipos para organizar
un campeonato en los WG06, si ustedes pueden
conseguir este numero de “equipos” pueden hacer el
torneo”, esta es una gran oportunidad para que mucha
gente conozca este deporte no solo en España sino en
todo el Mundo, nosotros escribimos en foros, enviamos
emails para conseguir estos 6 primeros equipos, ayer
enviamos a FEDAS esta inscripción inicial con los 6
primeros equipos para que nos aprueben el campeonato.
Recordar que necesitamos la aprobación de FEDAS para
poder hacer el campeonato.
FEDAS nos pidió un mínimo de 6 “equipos”, nosotros
enviamos la invitación a varios CLUBES (no Equipos
Nacionales) que estén interesados en jugar este
campeonato, si esta condición cambia lo estaríamos
informando.
No sabemos con exactitud la fecha de este campeonato
(seguro en el verano del 2006), pero es un hecho que
se jugara en una piscina de saltos. Tan pronto como
nos sea posible estaremos ampliando la información,
mediante foros, emails y nuestra pagina web.
La invitación oficial será hecha por FEDAS.

Last news about WG Sevilla 2006
The organization “Sevilla 2006 Juegos Mundiales” is
being performed by the City Council and the Non-
Olympic Sports Federations.
In our case this Federation is FEDAS, here in Spain
the UWR is an unknown sport, then FEDAS (by the
regional FECLAS Castilla y León Federation) has
expressed the following:
"We need at least 6 teams to organize a championship
in WG06, if you are able to reach this number we will give green light to make the tournament", that is a great choice for other people to get to know this sport not only in Spain but worldwide, we have written to some forums, and sent some emails in order to get the required number of teams, yesterday we sent to FEDAS the initial registration with the first 6 teams to get its approval to run the championship.
Remember we need the approval of FEDAS to make this
championship.
Since, the original FEDAS request made reference to
“Teams”, we sent the invitation to any CLUB TEAMS (no National Teams) which could be interested in playing the championship, If this condition changes we’ll be informing it.
We do not exactly know the date for this tournament
to take place (it will certainly be during the summer 2006), however it is a fact that it will be played in a diving pool. As soon as we get more details, we will let you know by the way of updating the forums, emails and our website.
The official invitation will be done by FEDAS.

El Campeonato de Rugby Sub de los Juegos
Mundiales Sevilla 2006 esta pendiente de la aprobación
de la Organizacion y FEDAS, una vez aprobado se daran a
conocer las fechas, piscina y costos.
The UWR Championship of World Games Sevilla 2006 is
awaiting the approval of the Organization and FEDAS,
when this is approved we´ll send more information like
dates, costos and swimming pool.

organización (JM06 Sevilla) está muy interesada, la
semana próxima me darán una respuesta, esperamos tener
buenas noticias sobre el torneo.

El jueves pasado 19/01/06 hable con la persona que
lleva el tema de Rugby Sub en Sevilla 2006 y me ha
dicho que el proximo miercoles o jueves tienen una
respuesta (25-26/01/06), asi que luego escribire
con toda la information acerca del torneo.

Hoy he hablado con la organizacion de Sevilla 2006, me han dicho que ellos quieren realizar el torneo de Rugby Sub, pero deben esperar la confirmacion de la Junta de Andalucia, por que quieren realizar obras en la piscina, entonces si las obras empiezan despues de julio se puede hacer el torneo.
Quedaron de darme una respuesta definitiva la proxima semana. Ellos creen que las obras no se empiezen hasta despues de agosto; asi que tenemos muchas opciones de hacer el torneo.
Acerca del torneo:
Probablemente se realizara en una piscina de Saltos al aire libre, 4m de profunda, 20 de largo y 12 de ancho, posiblemente sea del 21-25 de julio, esta informacion se confirmara y se extendera mas adelante.

Hello Everybody,
Today the WG Sevilla 2006 organization told me, we want to do the tournament and FEDAS too, but now we have to wait the answer of local government (Junta De Andalucia), because they wanna make a new construction in this diving pool, then if the construction start later of july then the tournament will be done.
We hope to have a definitive answer the next week.
The organization dont think the new construction start before july, we have many possibilities to make the tournament.
About the tournament:
The tournament will be done in a outdoor diving pool, around 4 m deep, 20 m length, 12 m width, the possible dates are 21-25 of july, we'll confirm this information and extend it later.

Se organizara torneo masculino y femenino dependiendo de los equipos inscritos, minimo 4 por categoria.

Men and Women play separate tournaments, Women are allowed to play in men teams.

Estimadas Pirañas les escribo desde estas tierras lejanas (ARGENTINA) para saber mas de Uds. ya que soy Profesor de educación Física en un Profesorado y tengo la cátedra de natación y me gustaría que los alumnos del profesorado (FUTUROS PROFESORES)conozcan este deporte ya que yo hace unos 15 años atrás tuve la suerte de conocerlo en un curso de Buceo y me encanto es mas en Buenos Aires eramos solo 4 equipos.-
me gustaria saber en que pagina esta el reglamento y todas las paginas relacionadas con el hockeysub y el rugbysub
Gracias Pirañas su pagina esta muy buena y espero que vayan al mundial alguien desde estas tierras los acompaña.-
