Gentlemen,
I’ve had multiple conversations with Mrs. Adelson from the museum. Here’s the updates for our trip to Nashville next week. Curtis and I will be leaving Thursday morning and stopping somewhere (probably in northern Tennessee) for the night. We will hopefully arrive sometime mid day in Nashville, check into our room and then check out some of the local sites. Russell Seibert is looking into a restaurant that we may all want to meet at Friday evening but this is still up in the air. For those who wish to join them, Saturday morning, Jim Matte and Kevin Zep have arranged with a friend of theirs in Clarksville to tour the area where the 14th Tennessee was born.
Whatever you wish to do, make sure you are back to the museum and in your best duds by 1:30 or shortly afterwards. The ceremony is going to take place at 2 sharp! Afterwards, we are invited to see a private showing of the flags in their collection. Also available to us is the opportunity to join some of the museum staff, a few politicians that care about Confederate heritage, and some world renown historians for a Southern cooking family style supper at a famous restaurant in the old area of Nashville. The cost will be 16.99 per person..AYCE. Saturday evening of course 25 of us will be attending the 9:30 performance at the Grand ol Opry.
I assume that most of us will be heading home sometime on Sunday.
