hello everyone:
my son, Chauncey Walker was invited over to 2ladies' apt. sept.28 (his 24th birthday) for dinner. they had a threesome, watched movies, he went to sleep. around 4a.m. they woke him up, walked him 2 doors down to where he was staying with family. the girls jumps in a car, one calls her mother in california to tell her they had been rape, but FORGETS how to dial 911.
when the detectives hears this, they finds it hard to believe and even more stranger when my son is convicted.
my son had an all-white jury, they were 40 and over, the judge told the d.a. not to mention that he had just came. when the judge asked to see the pieces of papers that eliminated the 2 black women, the d.a. told the judge that she had thrown them away.
the two women were 26 and 30, they were never gagged or bound, they went up and down the stairs, they claim there was a black gun, when the police raided the house, they found a silver toy gun which they took into evidence.
the jury asked the judge could they convict on testimony alone and he said yes. they gave my son 6life-terms + 33yrs.
his first appeal was denied, which he had a feeling that it would be. his attorney tells him, "the jury believed the statements of the two ladies and how do you fight something like that"? what is this for a lawyer to ask a client? my son was moved from Alex.Va. detention to Powhatan Correctional.

"My son is not an angel, when his friends picked him up and went joy-riding, i told him accept his responsibility for been in the car, even though he didn't take it, he knew better than to get in the car. but this is totally wrong, if i had one inch of an idea that he did this, i wouldn't be writing now and his family would no longer exist. i hate a rapist more than i do a murderer and he knows this.
when i read part of the appeal where they said he made them "crawl to him on hands and knees, say yes sir and no sir to him in military style", i asked him what movie did they look at. he said "G.I. Jane".

one more note: when my son was sentenced, the (white) deputies told my son to get in touch with me so i could send a letter to Chief Justice Leroy Hassell, Jr. of Supreme Court of Virginia. they couldn't believe what had happen. they would come by his cell, give him words of encouragement. when he was let out, they never worried about him, because they knew where to find him (law library). chauncey doesn't watch tv, play basketball, says that will not help him prove his innocent.
i can't give up, he's trying real hard and now since the appeal was denied, he wants another lawyer.
