Message:		I am tracing my family tree and have discovered that my great great grandparents Thomas Jones and Esther Jones (nee Lewis) were innkeepers at The White Lion Inn, George Hill, Llandeilo at the time of the 1871 & 1881 census. By 1901 census returns state that they were retired innkeepers living at "White Lion Cottage". I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who knows any history relating to this inn. Was the cottage attached to the inn? Is the building still there today?...I cannot find any reference to it. Their daughter Kate/Catherine Jones who married Evan Rees Williams of Love Lodge was my great grandmother and their daughter Lettice Williams (who married George David Thacker) was my maternal grandmother. In addition Esther's father Lewis Lewis was a butcher and innkeeper at The Butcher's Arms of Llandeilo. If anyone knows about this inn or indeed whether the Butcher's Arms became The white Lion Inn I would be very interested to hear from you via my email address. Kind regards. Sarah
