We fully endorse the letter below and we plea You not to take part in such a barbaious acts- such as bullfighting. Maybe You are not a supporter of bullfighting in ersonal, but Your performance in the bullring will make a different immpression...
Please, be gentle as Your music is- bullrign is not a place for someone gentle like You.

Dear Mr. J. BLUNT,
We learned that your Management Company, the Twenty-First Artists Ltd, scheduled your concert at LISBON'S bullring.
Please don't let this happen; choose a better, cruelty-free place in beautiful Lisbon for your performance.
If not, then you will be supporting bullfights - even unwillingly - because concerts and any event taking place at the bullring make more money available for the arrangement of the weekly bull-torture.
We can't believe that you are an amateur of bullfights, or, are you?
Thank you for reconsidering and insisting for another place in Lisbon where your concert can take place: a place without the smell of blood and the tremendous fear of animals in the air.

A Portuguese hotel of your group – the Marriott Praya d´El Rey Golf & Beach Resort, in Caldas da Rainha, is offering a “Bullfighting Package” to their clients, thus encouraging tourists to go to the local bullfighting journeys that are taking place at Caldas da Rainha, from 15-25 May.
As we are civilised people, we don’t appreciate animal abusers and we would like to see the end of all bullfights in a very near future.
Therefore we ask you to call your above mentioned Portuguese hotel to order and make them stop all promotion of this abject form of ‘entertainment’.

Honorable Officials Of South Africa:
I join the worldwide plea to South African authorities: Please remove
culling as a "tool" in the National Norms and Standards for Elephant
Management (NNSEM). Slaughter ought to be banned outright -- not used to
control elephant populations on private, provincial and national
conservation grounds.
I was shocked to learn about South Africa's intent to overturn a 1994
moratorium on the mass killing of elephants. Acclaimed elephant specialists
consider culling a temporary fix. The unnatural reduction of elephants may
actually boost birth rates as survivors rebound with a focus on mating.
Moreover, female elephants often retain lifelong ties with mothers and males
may remain in the herd until 10 to 15 years of age. The slaughter of
individuals or families torments these socially complex, perceptive animals.
Grief and suffering can harmfully impact herd members who are not killed.
I strongly urge South African authorities to integrate non-violent methods
-- such as range expansion, translocation, contraception -- into long-range
plans to ease the alleged overpopulation of elephants.
Please bear in mind a cull's influence on the current ivory trade ban. More
dead elephants mean more stockpiled ivory and could result in demands to
legally sell ivory. Many southern African countries feel a relaxed
prohibition on ivory would instigate widespread poaching in at risk wild
elephant populations.
I strongly object to the government-approved slaughter of elephants and
respectfully ask South African Minister of Environmental Affairs and
Tourism, Marthinus Van Schalkwyk, to rescind his decision.
