Lawsuit in Geneva in front of the international court of justice for animal rights
Nicolas Sarkozy and his premier on the dock!
On Monday, June 23rd in Geneva in the C.I.C.G (International Centre of Conferences of Geneva), the lawsuit against bullfight will take place. The public negotiation of the animals’ court of justice under the presidency of Franz Weber is aimed at the primarily responsible persons for the bullfights in Spain, Portugal and France. The defendants are accused to keep alive at all costs the barbarous and out-dated practice of the Corrida with the aim to achieve its official recognition as a cultural heritage of Europe. They are accused to approve the torture and killing of animals as a public entertainment thereby to violate human dignity.
Moreover, the French president Nicolas Sarkozy and his prime minister François Fillon are accused to violate the legislation of their own country by allowing the introduction of the Corrida to regions of France where no one can rely on «bullfight tradition». Furthermore, the two politicians as well as the Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero are accused to allow and promote in their countries bullfight training centers where the application of force, malice and cruelty towards weaker creatures is taught to children and teenagers.
José Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission, is accused having created during his period of office as a prime minister of Portugal the legal base for bullfights with fatal ending and thus having thrown back in his country in the legislation of the protection of animals by 80 years.
For the first time accused publicly are also the circles directly involved in Spanish bullfight:
the federation of Spanish bullfight training centers, the union of the fight bull breeders, the union of the organizers and promoters of Corridas and the union of the professional bullfighters. The three unions are particularly accused of to glorify the bullfight by misleading propaganda and especially with a tendentious exhibition that currently (June 4th and 5th) takes place in the European Parliament in Brussels to win the parliament members for their aim Recognition of the Corrida as a European cultural heritage.
The French Comité Radicalement Anti Corrida (C.R.A.C.), the Spanish FUNDACION ALTARRIBA and the Portuguese association ANIMAL are the main prosecutors, supported by more than 50 con-plaintiff organisations from all Europe.

Nicolas Sarkozy und sein Premier auf der Anklagebank !
Am Montag, 23. Juni findet in Genf, im C.I.C.G. (Centre International de Conférence de Genève), der Prozess gegen den Stierkampf statt. Die öffentliche Verhandlung des Tiergerichtshofs unter dem Präsidium von Franz Weber richtet sich gegen die Hauptverantwortlichen der Stierkämpfe in Spanien, Portugal und Frankreich. Den Angeklagten wird vorgeworfen, um jeden Preis die barbarische und überholte Praxis der Corrida am Leben zu erhalten mit dem Ziel, deren offizielle Anerkennung als kulturelles Erbe Europas zu erreichen. Sie werden beschuldigt, die Folterung und Tötung von Tieren als Unterhaltung und Volksbelustigung gutzuheissen und dadurch gegen die menschliche Würde zu verstossen.
Der französische Staatspräsident Nicolas Sarkozy und sein Premierminister François Fillon wer-den zudem beschuldigt, die Gesetzgebung ihres eigenen Landes zu verletzen, indem sie die Einführung der Corrida in Regionen Frankreichs gestatten, die sich auf keinerlei « Stierkampf-tradition » berufen können. Die beiden Magistraten, wie auch der spanische Regierungspräsident José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, werden ausserdem beschuldigt, in ihren Ländern Stierkampf-schulen zuzulassen und zu fördern, in denen Kindern und Jugendlichen die Anwendung von Gewalt, Tücke und Grausamkeit gegen Schwächere beigebracht wird.
José Manuel Barroso, Präsident der Europäischen Kommission, ist angeklagt, während seiner Amtszeit als Premierminister von Portugal die gesetzliche Basis für Stierkämpfe mit tödlichem Ausgang geschaffen und dadurch sein Land in der Tierschutzgesetzgebung um 80 Jahre zu-rückgeworfen zu haben.
Zum ersten Mal öffentlich angeklagt sind auch die im spanischen Stierkampf direkt implizierten Kreise: die Föderation der spanischen Stierkampfschulen, die Union der Kampfstierzüchter, die Union der Organisatoren und Promoter von Corridas und die Union der professionellen Stierkämpfer. Den drei Unionen wird im besonderen vorgeworfen, den Stierkampf durch irreführende Propaganda zu glorifizieren und namentlich mit einer tendenziösen Ausstellung,
die gegenwärtig (4. und 5. Juni) im Europaparlament in Brüssel durchgeführt wird, die Parlamentsmitglieder für ihr Ziel : Anerkennung der Corrida als europäisches Kulturerbe, einzunehmen.
Hauptankläger sind das französische Comité Radicalement Anti-Corrida (C.R.A.C.), die spanische FUNDACION ALTARRIBA und die portugiesische Vereinigung ANIMAL, unterstützt von über 50 Mitklägerorganisationen aus ganz Europa.

Procès à Genève contre la tauromachie devant la Cour Internationale de Justice des Droits de l‘Animal
Nicolas Sarkozy et son Premier Ministre sur le banc des accusés !
Le 23 juin se déroulera à Genève au C.I.C.G. (Centre International de Conférences de Genève, salle IV, 17, rue de Varembé) devant la Cour des Droits de l’Animal, sous la présidence de Franz Weber, le procès contre les principaux responsables de la tauromachie en Espagne, au Portugal et en France. Il est reproché aux accusés de vouloir maintenir en vie la pratique barbare et surannée de la corrida (rejetée par la majorité des citoyennes et citoyens des pays concernés) et l’instaurer en tant qu’héritage culturel en Union Européenne. Il leur est reproché d’admettre la torture et la mise à mort de créatures sensibles comme une distraction publique et de bafouer ainsi la dignité humaine.
À Nicolas Sarkozy et François Fillon, il est reproché de violer la législation de leur pays en laissant s’implanter la corrida dans des localités françaises ne pouvant se réclamer d’aucune « tradition tauromachique ». Les deux magistrats sont également accusés, tout comme le Président du Gouvernement espagnol, M. José-Louis Rodriguez Zapatero, de laisser s’établir et de subventionner sur leurs territoires respectifs des écoles de tauromachie où l’on enseigne à des enfants et adolescents la violence, la perfidie et la cruauté envers les plus faibles.
M. José Manuel Barroso, président de la Commission européenne est accusé d’avoir créé, pendant son mandat de Premier Ministre du Portugal, les bases légales de la mise à mort de taureaux, rejetant ainsi son pays en arrière de 80 ans en matière de protection animale.
Parmi les principaux accusés figurent également, et pour la première fois dans une audience publique contre les corridas, les milieux directement impliqués dans la tauromachie espagnole:
- la Fédération nationale des écoles de tauromachie
- l’Union des fédérations d’éleveurs de taureaux de combat
- l’Union nationale des organisateurs et promoteurs de spectacles tauromachiques
- l’Union professionnelle des matadors
Les trois Unions en particulier sont accusées de publicité trompeuse au travers d’une exposition glorifiant la corrida, manifestation qui se déroule actuellement (4 et 5 juin 08) à Bruxelles au Parlement Européen dans le but de faire reconnaître la tauromachie comme tradition et culture européennes et héritage universel.
L’accusation est assurée pour la France par le Comité Radicalement Anti Corrida (C.R.A.C.) pour l’Espagne par la Fundacion Altarriba, pour le Portugal par l’Association ANIMAL, soutenus par
plus de 50 organisations coplaignantes venant de toute l’Europe.
La traduction simultanée est assurée en français, allemand, anglais et espagnol.
