Recommend a longer-term charter company in the Caribbean for '08?

My wife, small daughter & I are looking to charter around a 35-39" monohull (or possibly a cat) in the Caribbean from around 1 May 08 for 6 weeks. We live in Australia and are moving to the US with work next year, and we want to start our move off in style!
Can anyone please recommend a charter company that could give us an attractive rate over a 6-week term? Happy to pickup pretty much anywhere - Florida, Bahamas, BVIs, Mexico - As long as its somewhere we will be able to fly into without breaking the bank.
My wife is a commercial ferry skipper (150T licence)and has also done many sail deliveries, and I have also sailed a number of times in North Quensland, including some time in the Whitsundays.
Not exactly looking for a brand new yacht - hoping to find something cost-effective.
Thanks,
Paul...

Paul:

Traditional charter companies do not like long term charters.

The company you need is http://www.seabbatical.com/
They specialize in long term charters and they are very good. Note: I have no financial ties with them.

Thanks Michael.
I will email Ron and see what they can offer. Their service sounds great, but I suppose we're looking for a true bareboat so that we can set our own course. Also, our 2 year old may not abide to their sailing schedule!
Do you know of any small charter companies who may have some older yachts at better rates over longer periods?
Thanks,
Paul...

We bareboat through BVI Yacht Charters. They are a smaller company but I've found their services quite outstanding. I'm sure they could probably accommodate you.
