Re: Trans Wales in August ?

Mr Clamp is doing trans wales and I am going as his pet slave and adoring wife. We did trans-scotland last year - him riding and me driving. Totally Brillliant and if it's your first shot at this, you'll love it. Wanna get in touch?

Re: Trans Wales in August ?

Hello mrs clamp,

Me and anne are doing the middle camping one pitching our own tent and "enjoying" the trans wales nightly pasta parties . . . . . ? !

What sort of camping facilities do they have? I've done the various meridas around wales in the last few years so i assume it will be a field with a tap in and the odd shower block / porta loos . . . TRavel wash for your kit . . .

Also, how big is the kit bag for all your gear & spares for the bike ?

Any pointers would be appreciated. Email me back or give me a bell - 0777 584 3370.

Cheers

Si

Re: Trans Wales in August ?

I'll get Mr. Clamp to call you. The facilities are rather like a travelling circus. Pitching up in a different field/venue each night. Sometimes we were at a Rugby club so the camping was very good and other times we were in random fields but relatively sorted.

The loos, showers and eating facilities are plentiful. Have you gone for the full eating plan? Cos it saves a lot of time and bother. And as for the kit bags and spares - I'll hand you over to Mr. Clamp cos I didn't take much notice not competing, but we coped. He'll talk to you on the technicals.
