Harry and William

Mammoth RT riders Will and Harry Penn were in action at the weekend.

Will took 3rd place at Darley Moor on Sunday, his best result of the season so far. The warm calm conditions at Darley meant early breaks were going no where. As the race progressed a bunch sprint was looking more likely, time for Will to hide in the bunch.

The last lap ended in a full out sprint with Will narrowly missing 2nd place - sharper elbows needed!

Mean while Harry was having a crack at the Lincoln Grand Prix, which some would say is the best event in the Premier Calender. 176 riders including a number of Continental teams, lined up at the start to tackle the Michaelgate cobbles 11 times. The speed was amazing, as the 8 mile circuit, including the very steep climb was completed in less than 20mins. By half way over 100 riders had been pulled out, unfortunately including Harry. By the end of the race only 6 riders competed the finish, with another 30 odd some way behind.

Still, there's always next year.

Re: Harry and William

Well done chaps.

The Lincoln is a great challenge, very rarely mastered on the first attempt.
