HELP! Rider wanted for this weekends 24hr race at Grizedale
I know its short notice but our team need a rider,my mate got hit by an oak tree on last nights ride and is out of the race. Race is the Wildboar 24 at Grizedale, its a new race for 08. There's no pressure, just come up and enjoy the ride and do your best, male or female, don't worry about lights if you haven't got any we have some spare. We may also be able to sort out transport to and from the race. For more info call me on 07796 622637. |

hi nick, Sorry to hear you are a man down. Same as us for the set 2 rise then hmmmmmm Anyway good luck for the grizdale event. I'd be interested to know how you get on, course etc and see what presence the ayup light firm has there. Anne has a couple of sets from NZ were she was involved with the owner . . . . Good light set up, but don'y know if they can break into the market with expose, lupine etc being fairly well known ! See you about Si |

Having seen your Ayups I'm impressed and will get some asap. It's a pet hate of mine to have cables all over the place. The owner is originally from the UK, hence the company name

We're sorted now,the new rider should be a lot quicker than the one who got hit by the tree so it should be interesting.Just hope the rain holds off for the race, wil llet you know how we get one. Have a good ride at the weekend! |

Just to let folks know we smashed it! 1st in Sport Men category and 2nd overall so really pleased especially after the last minute panic! A lap was about 10.5 miles long,1500ft of climbing up fire roads, single track was really good with some really rocky descents that resemble the Dyfi.Think I clocked up about 10000ft of climbing during the race.Campsite was really nice with toilets & showers etc. Definitely doing this race next year. Weather was good too. |

Went up to do this race myself, after riding the course on friday decided it was to boring ( other than a 2 mile of interesting downhills out of as you say a 10.5 mile lap) to make it worth the effort to travel 1 mile to start from the campsite and back every time we changed riders. Went I rode some of the local trials instead, nice campsite though. |
