I am writing to you about an event for kids with CFS that will be happening soon. NJ CFS Assoc. is having their fall conference. In addition to other speakers, Dr James Oleske is giving a presentation on pediatric CFS. During the conference, I am going to be hosting a discussion group for young people. Parents can attend the lectures while the kids attend the more informal discussion group. Following this note is the conference info and an announcement about the young peoples group. Young Peoples Discussion Group at NJCFSA Fall Conference
At this years fall New Jersey CFS Assoc. Conference there is going to be a special discussion group for young people with CFS. The group will meet during the same time as the rest of the conference is going on so that parent can attend the presentations and teens and young adults can attend the young peoples discussion group. The group is planned to be an informal chat guided by whatever subjects are most on the participants minds. It will be moderated by Sharon Walk. A 27 year old with CFS who got ill at age ten. Sharon published a newsletter for kids with CFS as a teenager and also started a pen pal club for kids with CFS.
