Languages in Benin
Hi!
I would just like to begin by saying that this website has been extremely helpful! It has answered many of my questions. One question that I still have, however, is whether French is widely spoken in Benin. I know that it is the official language but it seems from my research that it is not widely spoken in rural areas. Do PCV typically communicate in French on the job? If not, are PCV taught local languages during training?
