Australian Greens Senator Bob Brown (you all remember Bob? He`s the one who heckled President Bush in the Australian Parliament last year) has produced another pearl of wisdom.

He has implored Prime Minister John Howard to pull our forces out of Iraq and distance ourselves from the US-Australian alliance in a hope to avoid a similar terrorist incident here. Federal elections are due to be held some time this year.

Needless to say Mr Howard`s response to Mr Brown`s suggestion was one of contempt, but it does make me glad that the Greens hold no real power in this country otherwise we would be rolling over and letting al Qaeda take charge. Like the Americans, Australians are not about to let that happen.
