Pleshaw Family - french Roots
My ggggrandfather was John Henry Pleshaw born about 1804 in Cumberland County, N.S. and claimed his mother was born in Nova Scotia and his father was born in France. In the early 1800's many of the census entries for Richard are written as Reshaw. I believe John Henry Pleshaw may be descended from the Richard's. If anyone can connect to a Jean Henri Richard born about 1804 I would love to hear from them:
