Death Date

My grandfather's parents were Thomas Landry and Dorothee Despres. He was married twice and I am trying to find out the date of his first wife's (Mary Eliza Chapman) death. It is alledged to be Nov. 27, 1892 but that is also the date that a Thomas Landry who lived in Hopewell, his wife died then just before he died at sea on the schooner "Magellan" in Dec. 1892. The Thomas Landry that died with the Magellan cannot be my great grandfather because my Thomas married again in 1907 to my great grandmother "Marie Rose Savoie". Both Thomas' were seamen, roughly the same age. The Thomas that died at sea had no children and it looks like my Thomas did not have children by his first wife. There was no name for the wife of the Thomas that died at sea but the problem lies in the fact that the only Eliza Chapman that I can find her death is as mentioned above but in Hopewell the place that the Thomas on the Magellan lived. She was born in Bouctouche as was my great grandfather, his first wife but he lived there till the day he died in 1922. Hence the confusion. The Thomas that died at sea in 1892, does anyone know who his first wife was? Is it possible that there was two Thomas' the same age, both seamen, both had wife's with similar name of Eliza Chapman, both wives from Bouctouche.
