"Bo Diddley" hailed by BBC as one of the best tracks from 1950s

BO DIDDLEY's 1955 recording of his song "Bo Diddley" is one of the tracks making "The Critics Top 50" tracks from the 1950s for a new British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) music TV series "Pop On Trial".

The 50 tracks making the list were picked by BBC music presenters Stuart Maconie and Mark Radcliffe plus contributors to the program and include some of the all-time great singles from the 1950s.

"Bo Diddley" is frequently cited as being one of the most important and influential debut singles of all-time and as one of the cornerstones of rock music.
