BO DIDDLEY's original girl guitar player, LADY BO, has recently been named the latest Ponderosa Stomp Foundation Hero.
The Ponderosa Stomp Foundation (PSF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the legacy, revitalizing the careers and preserving the history of the architects of American music. The PSF achieves its mission through the presentation of unique and varied programming, ranging from music education initiatives in public schools and museums to an oral history project to the signature annual concert event, The Ponderosa Stomp. The Foundation is a 501(c) (3), not-for-profit educational organization.
Former BO DIDDLEY band alumni Billy Boy Arnold, Clifton James, LADY BO, Bobby Parker and Jody Williams have all graced the Ponderosa Stomp stage in recent years.
The PSF is giving fans the opportunity to thank your favorite musician for their work or even just a particular song that has been important in your life. You can help the PSF recognize and celebrate the unsung heroes of American music and support living history by living the mission of the Stomp. Please visit the PSF website, located at: http://www.ponderosastompfoundation.org/stomp/ for further details.
If you contribute in response to this message, LADY BO will receive a personalized letter letting her know of your contribution and thanking her for her work in shaping the American sound.

From now until Friday May 1st 2009, when you make a donation to the Foundation, let the PSF know your favorite Stomp artist and any personal story or note you would like to tell them. The PSF will be sending a note of appreciation to all of the heroes named, or to their families if they are no longer with us, letting them know who made a contribution in their honor and offering your personalized thanks for their work in shaping the sound of your life! We hope you will join the PSF in recognizing these amazing American music contributors throughout the next several months.
The Ponderosa Stomp Foundation is sustained in large part by the donations of music lovers like you. Now you can show your appreciation for your favorite Stomp artist and help the Foundation continue its preservation and education based initiatives, ensuring it can serve additional musicians. You can make a donation for any musician by including their name in the “Note(s) to the Foundation” field on the PSF secure donation server at http://ponderosastompfoundation.org/stomp/
The 8th Ponderosa Stomp will be taking place in New Orleans, LA Tuesday & Wednesday April 28th-29th 2009.
