BO DIDDLEY "rules the rhythms of the world"

Though he died last year, BO DIDDLEY still rules the rhythms of the world, says computer scientist Godfried Toussaint in the article "Hunting for rhythm's DNA", published on the Harvard Gazette Online website yesterday (Monday October 19th 2009).

In the article, Toussaint claims that so compelling is the BO DIDDLEY beat that in the past 50 or 60 years it "has captured the entire planet". The article is available on-line at: http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2009/10/hunting-for-rhythm's-dna/ and transcripts available by visiting the blogs at The Official Bo Diddley MySpace Page at http://www.myspace.com/bodiddleyofficial and The Bo Diddley Legacy MySpace Page at http://www.myspace.com/bodiddleylegacy

Philadelphia-based freelance writer/blogger Matt Soniak, posting on the popular "mental_floss" magazine's blog yesterday (Tuesday October 20th 2009), put together an entertaining collection of video clips of BO DIDDLEY beat tracks through the decades.

Artists include George Michael, The Miracles, The Police, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, The Stooges and "Weird Al" Yankovic.
