Re: Craigheads from western PA

Updating my previous message: I have now traced my western PA Craigheads back to Private Robert Craighead, one of the earliest settlers in Elizabeth, PA.He married Mary Davidson and had three sons, John, Andrew, and James?, and a daughter Diana, who married Major John Walker. In partnership with his brother-in-law, John Craighead, Major John Walker owned a sawmill on the Monongahela River. This enterprise was instrumental in the early boatbuilding in the area. They built the keel boat used by the Lewis and Clark expedition
