I would have to say that the article on Slick and Fresh at the Troc this past March was "a lil' sumthin' fo the people". The journalist really sets up the night for you and gives the play by play; with pure grace and beauty- as does Hip Hop. Not only was the show a throw back enough to steal our hearts but mad props to the writer for capturing what it is we the people need- substance, elegance and that feeling of home...

Unfortunately I wasn't at the Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh concert, but thankfully this article afforded me a front row seat! The writing was atriculate and eloquent, painting a meticulous and vivid picture with words. Cheers to the writer!

As someone who was at the concert, I have to agree that Ms. Cavanaugh definately captured the essence of the show. The show pulled me back to the present kicking and screaming as I was reluctant to believe it was over.
