While planting some flowers today my wife discovered a large group of digger bees (it was fun to watch but don't tell her). I was wondering if they are of any use to those who deal in bees. I understand they are not aggressive and work very hard to pollinate flowers but was not sure if they could be moved to help farmers.
Digger bees are a different variety of bee...and from what I've read, don't seem to be the best friend to have around. They build many small nests in the ground and can become somewhat of a pest. The better pollinator for the farmer is the honey bee.
