Indeed a special day for us, but apparently not so for the programmers of Turner Classic Movies and the Fox Movie Channel. Forgive me for always seeming to criticize, but when a star of his stature is so totally ignored for a birthday tribute by TCM which does so many such tributes for far lesser film players, it is unforgiveable. Their library now contains sufficient Power films to fill a day if shown back to back and yet not one--no acknowledgement of this day for such a luminary. Yes, at least Fox played 'Son of Fury' early this morning, but I suspect it was a coincidence, for if they'd intended a tribute, they have enough to have run several of them at the least. Our favorite star deserves better than this. Shame on them.
