I think he was a great actor. It's too bad he died so young and we were denied enjoying his full talent as a character actor. It's also too bad he smoked so much which I believe contributed to his death. From what I've read, he had warning signs weeks before his death. Probably taking an aspirin everyday might have helped him especially when he was stricken in Spain--a simple aspirin might have saved him. So sad. I don't know what technology was available then for his type of illness-- even if he sought medical help, he might have died anyway. This was before heart stents and angioplasty which we do routinely today. I also wonder if his son has been checked out for any congenital condition. This is just my thoughts.
