REVIVAL THEATERS LIKE THE BRATTLE

If you have a revival theater around you that shows the old films, ask them to honor Tyrone in 2008, the 50th year of his death, by showing one or two of his films. I have arranged for showings in LA at American Cinematheque, here in Rochester at the Dryden Theatre, and we are working at present on Cincinnati and New York.

In the ones I have arranged, I am also doing a huge memorabilia display, and I would be happy to show my memorabilia elsewhere if they would agree to show his films. This gives the theater added publicity, as I get the info into the newspapers and even on TV. So it's a good hook.

I went to the Brattle for years. It's where I saw Casablanca, Dark Victory, All About Eve, so many great films.

I (or Maria) could try the Music Box here in Chicago. They showed Nightmare Alley when it was re-released after restoration. They also showed The Adventures of Robin Hood after its restoration. They are big on international films, too.

Another place that likes to do old film festivals (mostly the "silent" pictures) is the Portage Theatre. They renovated it back to its original single stage function. (It was split in two--terribly done!) They might be interested.

I'll ask at the Brattle theatre well. Although I can't help but think that I'll end up banging my head against the wall (but who knows).
