The first article on this page, which reports that Gina Lollabrigida was on set during Ty's heart attack, seems to contradict the third one, which says she heard about it in her hotel suite. Of course, I could be misunderstanding the Spanish, so if anyone else wants to take a look, please do!

Luis Miguel Dominguin was one of the era's most famous bullfighters and one of his various affairs was with Ava Gardner, who had appeared in The Sun Also Rises with Ty. (She had a thing for bullfighters, to ex-husband Frank Sinatra's great chagrin, but that's another verrrry long story.)

•Tyrone Power’s coffin, at the American air base in Torrejon (Spain), for his final trip to the actor’s country

Madrid, November 15 (AFP). – The news of the sudden death of Tyrone Power today occupies all the front pages of Madrid’s evening newspapers, reminding us that the film actor’s father died similarly while filming a movie role.

At the same time [that the death] was confirmed, both producer Ted Richmond and director Henry King decided to continue the shooting of Solomon and Sheba, despite the tragic passing of their lead actor, with some Madrid newspapers announcing that they were searching for a “double” for Tyrone; only two or three weeks remained to finish the super-production (5 million dollars), whose exteriors were filmed in the region of Zaragoza with three thousand extras and 75 specially constructed ancient war chariots.

The rest of the scenes are currently being filmed in the Chamartin studios. The other principal actors, George Sanders, Marisa Pavan, Jose Nieto and Maruchi Fresno, are equally upset at the unexpected ending to the scene Tyrone Power had been performing.

The bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguin and the Countess of Quintanilla, who had dined last night with the actor, were the first persons who arrived at the clinic’s funeral chapel. There Tyrone Power’s remains rested prior to transfer to the American air base at Torrejon, where they will be transported tomorrow to the United States.


Linda Christian May Arrive

•The actor’s former wife is currently in Italy

Madrid, November 15 (SECM). – We were informed at Barajas Airport that the star Linda Christian, who is in Rome, may arrive early today to be by the side of the body of her ex-husband, Tyrone Power.

It is said that the Mexican actress, who was married for seven years to the famous actor, who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, had expressed in Rome her desire to travel immediately to this city.

Linda is the mother of Taryn and Romina, the two little daughters and great loves of the late actor. When she separated from Tyrone, Linda won her petition for a million dollars and custody of the girls, who by special agreement would live six months with Linda and the rest of the year with their father.

Since her divorce from Tyrone, Linda has been traveling to many places around the world. She had been mentioned as possibly marrying the late Marquis de Portago and more lately as the likely companion of a wealthy Brazilian.

Lollobrigida’s Pain From the Tragic Death

Madrid, November 15 (SECM) – The suite occupied by the Italian celebrity Gina Lollobrigida in the Hilton Castellana Hotel is lit only by the faint light of the candles that the beautiful star placed before an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in remembrance of the passing of the famous actor Tyrone Power.

Gina’s husband told reporters that Gina would not be able to give interviews due to her extreme depression over the unexpected death which took place while Tyrone was filming scenes from Solomon and Sheba.

The scenes with Gina are almost complete, although there are a few left to film.

She heard the news in her hotel room when she was with her young son.
