Madrid, November 15 (AFP) – Tyrone Power, who, in his new film plays for the first time a biblical character, expressed a few days before his death his satisfaction upon finding himself once again in Europe: “In Hollywood,” he said, “your spirit shrivels up.”
He had recently taken advantage of a free weekend by traveling to Biarritz, where he visited his ex-wife Annabella.
“Have women caused you a lot a trouble?” asked reporters in a recent interview, and Tyrone answered: “Any married man would be able to answer for me.” His director, King Vidor, said of his new Solomon: “He is wisdom personified.” Tyrone Power’s last public appearance took place the day before yesterday, on the occasion of a gala presentation of his last film, Witness for the Prosecution, with Marlene Dietrich and Charles Laughton.

One wonders if he would have spent more of his time in Europe as opposed to California in the 60's and on? Or more time in the East Coast (aka NY) at least (?)
