Wow, are you *sure* you're not fluent in Italian Peachtree, 'cause this is about as fluent as one can get, IMHO :-)!!!
It's a whole different take with the European correspondents, eh! Talk about a nasty turn, indeed! A bit puzzling, as she clearly was new to the scene as far as being TP's wife and certainly hadn't racked up the sins they're attributing to her here. Very catty stuffy, ...they nearly got a 'purple' cardinal...the guy escorting her looks like he has a fake goatee (a rather silly complaint, quite frankly)! Not to mention the lights and the cables :-) Sheesh :-)!
On the other hand, I can see TP being nervous at all the pomp of it, so there is probably an element of truth to some of this as well.
In any case, all quite fascinating and, I agree with you it's more than a bit unfair on LC at such an early point of their marriage (I still think it was resentment on their part).
