The American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles is having a Tyrone Power mini-festival November 14, 15 and 16. Here's the schedule:

Friday, November 14
7:30 p.m. Nightmare Alley

Saturday, November 15
7:30 p.m. The Razor's Edge and "My Dad, Tyrone Power"

Sunday, November 16
6:30 p.m. Love is News and The Mark of Zorro

I'd give major body parts to be there alas but I can't. :( (Although I did once fly 3000 miles just to see a movie there!) I hope someone here can attend and report back to us. The Egyptian Theater is one of the best venues I've ever been to and what a pleasure it would be to see Ty on that theater's big screen.

I wish I could go to. I am new really to the love of tyrone power and I live close to San francisco but I was wondering is there any thing for Ty that brings all his fans and past movie legends together to celebrate him on screen with movies and off screen where you get to meet other Ty fans etc. Just eondering what is hte best Ty thing to try and attend when they come up. i presume LA would be the best place eh?

There is an annual memorial service that takes place each year that is free and open to the public (upcoming this November). It's affiliated with the cemetary where he's buried, if memory serves. No doubt if you contact them they can give you more info.

this is almost painful to read :-)!! Would looooove to attend but like many just can't afford the trip to get there.

This is driving me nuts. The only reason I can't go is because I can't get away from work. I don't think I've ever disliked my job as much as I do right now. :) Actually I like my job except when it gets in the way of my "reel" life!

Yeah, wouldn't it be great to see the films AND the memorabilia!! (My bank account has grounded me alas :-(! ) Hopefully, there will be more of these in the future. Maria C. is a uber fan indeed :-)!

Same here--I actually have some time off in November and would have loved to be able to fly down to CA for these festivities.
