Hi everyone. Haven't been here in years but discovered a new site with some amazing TP pics. Thought of this forum since it always had such a thorough catalog of Ty photos. Google is making the archives of Life Magazine available online. Just initiated today. Eventually over 10 million pics from the LIFE archives will be online. Go to :

Type in Tyrone Power and some amazing pics come up from the archives of LIFE. Double click the photos, they become enormous. Many of his funeral, one rather bizarre one of him in his coffin. A lot of these never made it into the magazine, they were pics taken but they didn't make the final cut. His funeral looked like a three ring circus. No dignity imhop.

Have to admit to a rather morbid fascination with the funeral pics as I've never seen any of them (i.e. seeing what the coffin looked like, etc.) Amazing they even photographed the grave site as well.
Have to admit however that these, quite possibly, aren't as bad as the morgue photos that were published in a European mag. shortly after his death. A three ring circus indeed.
