My father was stationed there. I was born in the hospital on Oct. 2, 1954. Just thought I would look it up today. Never really talked about it with my parents much. They are both gone now. My mother arrived in England on the Queen Mary! It is now here in Southern California and I was fortunate enough to have stayed on her in the late 90's for a conference. It was great to be able to see the ship that made me possible.
I believe they lived in the House on Harrow Hill, according to my mother. We left England when I was approximately 13 months old. We returned to the States on a Navy ship. I have never been back to England since then. I really have no desire to do so.
My dad would be in his 90's now. His name was Bohn R. Dampier. I don't know for sure what he did, but I think it had something to do with computers. He was a programmer when I growing up.
