My tour at USAF Station South Ruislip

Hi all.
I was stationed at South Ruislip from 1953 till 1956
with the 11th Comm Squadron in the same building as
1933 AACS and the NCO Club and Dental office. I worked in the radio relay shop and in the local Message center. We were the so called Base Comm for
HQ 3rd AF
I met my future wife Marge Donald at the Eastcote Arms
and Married at the Harrow Registrar's office. My daughter Kim was born at the USAF Hospital there.
We were among the first residents there when it opened up. We were temporarily billeted at Bushey Park
before moving in. I was with a rather large bunch of
radio mechanics just in from radio maintenance school
at Scott AFB Ill. Any body remember Senerchia, Seher,
McCoy, Osborne,Logan, Benidict,Deemer, Badisher, Reed,
Mastin, Reinig, Lenz ?
Some of us moved up temporarily to a little army station at Colliers End north of London to set up an HF Radio Communications link with Germany.
My wife Marge and I visited the Eastcote Arms in the mid 80s. I swear the same old gal was at the piano with the cigarette hanging out of her mouth, and same old barman was on duty. We had great times looking in on all the pubs around (pub crawling).
