RE: Looking for Serviceman

I am looking for any information on a serviceman stationed here around 1950. His name was Don Slater or Don Slaughter not sure on the last name. The first name could have been Donald and he was from New Jersey. I mother had a daughter by him and we were looking to find him.
Any information would be appreciated.
