Thank you for your kind words about Richmond Then and Now.
Other Richmond history priorities have overshadowed "Now" pictures somewhat. For the past year we've focused on the Marshall Theatre / (1862) New Richmond Theatre / (c. 1912) Myer Greentree Building / (c. 1972) Cavalier Men's Shop Building at 701 East Broad Street. Great history is being demolished for a "new Federal Courts Building." We've saved over 30,000 pounds of granite and steel columns from the original Marshall Theatre of Sallie, Mary, Jennie, Kate Partington, Jenny Lind, Joseph Jefferson, Sarah Bernhardt, Edwin Booth, John Wilkes Booth, on and on. The work is still in progress.
We're working on a brick wall with plaque made with the original 186 year old brick from the Marshall Theatre for Sallie Partington.
