Ampthill House - then and now - last owned by Tenant Bryan, Hunsdon Cary
Suggest Archibald Cary " wheelhorse of the revolution" who built Ampthill house, was Speaker of the original Senate of Virginia, & Hunsdon Cary, who inherited Ampthill house in 1929, was a member of legislature, ran for governor against Byrd in the '30's and relocated it to present location - last owned by Tenant Bryan.
