Re: Irish Reunification

I think its pathetic. Why should Northern Ireland have to leave the UK to achieve a united Ireland? Makes much more sense for the one part of the British Isles that is currently outside of the UK to rejoin the rest! Irish reunification will occur if and only when the south of the island of Ireland rejoins the rest of the UK where it belongs. That is the only acceptable long term permanent outcome. Then there will be a united Ireland taking its full role within the United Kingdom as one of the nations of the British Isles. Reunification of the two British states that exist on in the British Isles is what is needed and what is long overdue! Southern Ireland is just as British as the rest of the British Isles for British simply means English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish. Irish is a subset of British and an essential component of it.
