Are there any opinions about the merits of the following St. Vincent anchorages...
Chateaubelair Bay
Cumberland Bay
Wallilabou Bay
We are planning on being there next month and will want to overnight at a variety of spots.

Do not anchor at Chateaubelair - you will encounter lots of hassle from local 'boat boys" and it's not a secure anchorage. Cumberland Bay is beautiful and fairly safe. Wallilabou is okay but, again, you will encounter hassle from local boat boys. There are mooring buoys there and also a good bar/restaurant. The Disney Film Corporation is there now filming Parts 2 and 3 of Pirates of the Caribbean but they should be out by mid April. As a yacht charter company, our advice to our customers is, unfortunately, not to visit anchorages on St Vincent's west coast other than Petit Byahaut.
Unfortunately Wallilabou still has some way to go. Steve Russell, who runs the restaurant and bar, has tried very hard over the years but there's a lot more education required. I would not necessarily say that one should avoid Walillabou, just that one should be prepared to have to deal with the youngsters, some of whom can be a bit pushy.
Well...
The trip was fabulous..visited Blue Lagoon, Petite Byahaut, Friendship Bay, Brittania Bay, Tobago Cays, PSV, Mopion, Saltwhistle Bay, Saline Bay, Admiralty Bay, Wallilabou, Chateaubelair, Buccament Bay....
We had the most hassles in Wallilabou due to a "territorial hassle" between boatboys...not terrible, but a bit of pushy over the top....otherwise excellent anchorages.
