Snorkeling in BVI

We are heading to the BVI for the first time next week. Can some of you experienced folks share the location of a few good snorkeling spots.

Thank you very much for any help.

Re: Snorkeling in BVI

Bud,
You can't go wrong with Monkey Point on Guana Island. Don't even think of going in the water at Great harbor on Jost.

Re: Snorkeling in BVI

John, thanks for the information, we will certainly go there. What is the issue with the water at Great Habor on Jost?

Re: Snorkeling in BVI

YES I agree Monkey Point is GREAT when the currents are correct....at other times it's so oxygenated that all yo see is white. Also try The Caves near Norman Island and The Indians are excellent too!

Tom :-)

Re: Snorkeling in BVI

Just returned last night. Snokeling was difficuldt this year. Coral and colour has greatly diminished over the last few years. Monkey point was not an option for us as the winds were around 25kts for most of last week. Anegada had nice spots at Cow Wreck and Loblolly but the reefs were all silted with sand. It may get better for you by the time you arrive. Enjoy your trip.

Baths are fantastic and a must see on Virgin Gorda. Indians and Caves at Norman Island, North side of Sandy Spit/Green Cay.
