I'm in the market for a new laptop and I'm trying to figure out what the sweet spot is for performance vs. price when it comes to laptops with 8GB of RAM. I've done some research and found some conflicting information, so I thought I'd ask for some opinions here.
Here are some of the things I've found: A forum post from 2012 suggests that 8GB of RAM is a good starting point for a gaming laptop, but it's something that can be upgraded later on.
A recent review of a MacBook Air suggests that it's a great laptop for people who don't need a lot of performance, but it only comes with 8GB of RAM laptop.
