Hi, my name is Melissa Marquis, I am the clinical nurse co-coordinator for adults. I have recently had some intersting cases involving portacaths and an incidence of right atrial mases being found. Consequently the two patoents in which the above were found, have both died. I was wonedring if anyone else has had any similar experiences. Theses masses were fibrotic in one patient and in the other, it was determined to be a ball ofdense tissue, probably associated with large volumes of antibiotics.
