I have been taking care of a late 20's patient with CF for over a year now. She frequently comes in with pancreatitis. She is being treated with Viokase and frequent IV pain medications. She has become a regular fixture on our floor. I need some information on pain control in regards to CF patients with chronic pancreatitis. I am beginning to become a bit cynical in regards to her care, and I need to know more. Please let me know the rules of confidentiality in regards to this institution, and how you can help me learn how to best treat this patient.
