There is no need to apologise as no offense was taken,we fought for decades to get the GSM and when it was finally awarded the criteria was even worse,you had to serve 90 days to Qualify,but after many protests it was dropped to 30.No military bravery awards were given,Sgt Foster who was in the battle for the police barracks in Ismailia got the George cross when he should have had a Victoria Cross.In operation Musketteer in 56 some of the troops involved got a medal even though they never even got off the troopship it was over so quick.There never seems to be any justice in some of the decisions by the MOD,but we were there to serve and serve we did.take care lads keep well
