Hi! Richard-lads,
You have said it all Richard,when we were fighting for the medal we did not know what the criteria would be but we were fighting for all the Suez Vets regardless of length of service in the Zone.So many worked hard to attain this medal and we were more than disappointed when the qualifying period was 90 days,so we protested again and it was reduced to thirty.The Geographical clause in the criteria shold have not been included as many lost out regardless of how long they were in the Zone just for the sake of a half a mile or two.As you said the SVA supports all our veterans,but some things are beyond our control.Take care lads keep well
