All laughing and joking aside -I think the MOD need to be subjected to some sort of a sort-out or likewise! I,m beginning to h..te [horrible word] the b...ers! The quallification now for NZ ex Service-folk for a Service Pension is reduced to 14 years-that's not bad -one third ! There has been talk of the UK Pensions dept. comig forward with a similar scheme. Lots of us after chucking it in still held on to association as per Reserve, T.A. and some did re-enlist. Just think all these associated periods added up could lead many of us into some sort of remuneration!-viz-Service Pension -even Pro-Rata! Here in NZ we have the Defence Dept. now administering War Disability Pensions-it has been taken out of RSA hands-so I am gracefully demised or nicer put-retired! No Worries there but the "Grim Reaper" of Defence a retired Brigadier is lacerating the usual War Disability Pension Record of previous times. Maybe they are trying to equal the MOD reputation? Ask Ex-Pats anywhere abroad what successes they have had with British W.D.P Applications -Pretty "Zeroic" No matter what happened to a Service-person -the outcome is generally "Not an Act of War"! I can go back to 1988!-Jack.
