Remembering the Suez Vets of 2002, fighting the good fight for recognition

I do remember you all from time to time. How are you doing? Is Richard Woolley still "webmastering" this site? Best wishes to those of you still around. Anne

Hi, I'm only passing through, so don't have the information you need, but possibly you may find something helpful here: https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/british-army-soldiers-in-service-after-1918/

Anne, as there has been no response from Richard then it would appear, sadly, that the answer is no.

Sadly Richard passed away at the end of March

Re: Remembering the Suez Vets of 2002, fighting the good fight for recognition

Hello Liz. I am so sorry to hear of your loss and send you my sincere condolences. Richard worked so hard for the veterans, and he had my admiration at the time for all he did. And the websites he masterminded enabled the veterans to stay in touch, which was a valuable service he provided. My lasting memory of Richard was his ability to write so well, and express his thoughts on paper in such a wonderful way. There were some hotheads involved at the time, and I often wished they could have taken a leaf out of Richard's book. Sending you my kind regards, Anne
