Hi! Kevin,
Your father was one of the first medics to land by helicopter from HMS Theseus,and as you said the field hospital was in the Casino palace Hotel,a landmark when visiting Port Said.I understand he was a NSM,and if he recieved a mention in Dispatches,it would be recorded in the Times newspaper who always mentioned bravery awards in their columns,so it would not be a bad idea to contact them,I am sure it will be in their archives.I wish you luck,in your search.Take care
