Not to be judged.

Hi! Lads,
It took us 50 years to get our GSM and I am proud to wear it on special days like Nov 11th etc.Today one of our vets who lives in Nottingham recieved £450-00 for his Gsm at a memoribilia auction.I thought what a waste of effort to get the medal if you are going to sell it,but then, like other vets have,he must have found old age pensions do not go far,and since we recieved our medals in 2003 the cost of everything has rocketed, and some of us have to decide on whether to eat,or to heat, and now that the weather has changed and we will soon be into another winter, please God not like last winter,I can sympathise with this OAP,you can,t eat a medal, and it won't heat your home,so he has little choice. If he got a decent pension he probally would have not sold his medal, but we have one of the lowest old age pensions in the Euro community, even Estonia pays a better one than ours,so think about it lads when you hear of vets selling thier medals,it is for necessity for most of them.Take care lads keep well

God Bless
Tony
