Subject: Greater Severna Park Council (GSPC) Airport Noise Committee meeting March 15th

We are writing to communities like yours in the vicinity of Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport regarding efforts of the Greater Severna Park Council's (GSPC) Airport Noise Committee to address concerns with the rapid increase in airport noise and pollution over the last two years. We believe this increase in noise pollution is due to lower flight paths, greater flight frequency, and shorter plane intervals. We feel that this has resulted in a serious disruption in our very quality of life.

The Airport Noise Committee has already achieved some success in bringing our concerns to the attention of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) officials. Now we believe it is time to join forces with other communities to make our voices heard by our Federal, State, and local elected officials.
We would like to invite you to join with the Airport Noise Committee in reaching out to our elected officials to make our collective concerns known. We have our first joint community planning meeting scheduled for March 15th at the Glen Burnie library from 7:00-8:45pm. We hope a representative from your homeowner/community association can attend.
By working together we expect to build on our successes and to have audiences with as many elected and FAA/MAA officials as possible in order to ultimately reduce the noise footprint that our communities are experiencing. We hope we can count on your community to join us in this effort.
Please RSVP at gspcairportnoisecomm@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
